Maryann Webster to Exhibit 'Curiosities of Nature' - Salt Lake City-based artist Maryann Webster explores the dichotomous relationship between humans and nature in her ceramic and mixed media work, on display from Nov. 7, 2008, to Jan. 8., 2009, at the Kimball Art Center, located in the heart of Park City, Utah, home of the Sundance Film Festival.

Kimball Art Center Presents A Special Film Event & Reception: "Creative Nature" - Documentary by Filmmaker John Andres on Glassblower William Morris Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008. This special film event will kick off with a reception at the Kimball from 5-7 p.m., giving patrons the opportunity to view this spectacular exhibit of 38 blown-glass vessels created by Morris and inspired by the flora and fauna of the Pacific Northwest. Following the reception, Andres will present his film at 7:30 p.m. at Treasure Mountain Inn.

The 39th Annual Park City Kimball Arts Festival culminated in exciting fashion when long-time Park City resident David Belz won the opportunity drawing for a car donated by Ken Garff Automotive Group - "I've been a member of the Kimball Art Center for the last five years and I think what they do there is a wonderful contribution to this community."

The Kimball Art Center has art classes for everyone with all of the following age groups: Little Picassos (1 - 3), Tots (3 - 5), Kids (6 - 12), Teens (13 - 17) and Adults (18+). - The Kimball provides year round art education, exhibits and events to entire Wasatch Back community.

Sharon Maney LoManto’s Logical Consequences will be featured in the Badami Gallery from Friday, July 18th through Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008. Sharon will be the featured artist at the Kimball during the Gallery Stroll on Friday, July 25 from 5-8pm. - Logical Consequences, LoManto’s newest work is created in metal. It spans distinctions between two-dimensional paintings and minimal sculpture.

Celebrate at Kimball Art Center with Exhibitions, Events & Education: Erin Linder Returns as Director of Exhibitions - Erin Linder returned to the Kimball Art Center on Monday, April 21st as the Director of Exhibitions. With prior experience as a curator and Masters in Business Administration in progress, Linder brings professionalism, knowledge and creativity to the Kimball exhibitions. Linder notes, “It is a great opportunity and privilege to be back at the Kimball Art Center. Everyone on the staff is so enthusiastic. I’m excited to be a part of that energy.”

Go Wild with Robert Glenn Ketchum’s: from/for Nature - Artist, writer, and conservation advocate, Robert Glenn Ketchum is featured in the Main Gallery at the Kimball Art Center from June 6, 2008 to July 21, 2008. Ketchum’s exhibit, from/for Nature includes contemporary landscape photographs and nature inspired embroideries on an epic scale.

Cookies and Candies and Cakes, Oh, My—All at the Kimball Art Center, Kent Christensen: Sugar - 2008—In conjunction with his exhibit, Sugar, Kent Christensen will present The Dessert Landscape, an Art Talk at the Kimball Art Center on Friday, April 25th from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. Christensen’s compositions have the capacity to be both social satire and part meditation of the spiritual possibilities of his experience and art. His works truly leave art lovers with their mouths watering.

Time for Tea: Teaching about Teapots - In conjunction with the exhibit, Teapots: Object to Subject, Jenny Diersen, Education Director at the Kimball Art Center created curricula to enhance understanding of the exhibition and distributed it, free of charge, to teachers in the Park City School District, North Summit School District, South Summit School District and Wasatch School District.
